King’s College Riyadh SEDRA: One Year to Go
King’s College Riyadh has reached an important milestone, marking one year to go until its new SEDRA campus welcomes its founding students in August 2027.
Located within ROSHN Group’s SEDRA community in north Riyadh, the new campus represents an exciting collaboration between ROSHN Group and Cognita, combining Saudi ambition and investment in family-focused communities with British educational expertise.
The SEDRA campus will build on the strong foundations established by King’s College Riyadh in Diriyah over the past six years, while bringing the heritage and values of the 145-year-old King’s College in the UK to a new generation of students in the Kingdom.
When it opens, the purpose-built campus will initially welcome students from Pre-School through to Year 9, expanding progressively to Year 13. It will offer a British education with an international outlook, while remaining firmly rooted in Saudi culture, language and identity. Facilities will support learning across science, technology, the arts, performance and sport.
The one-year milestone was celebrated alongside representatives from the British Embassy, the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, ROSHN Group, Cognita, King’s College Riyadh and the wider school community. The development is another example of the growing collaboration between UK expertise and Saudi ambition, particularly within the education sector, and supports the wider objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 around investment in education and human capability.
