The Saudi UK Tech Hub was established by the Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC) in 2022 with the support of our founding partners; the Future Investment Initiative Institute (FII), UK Science & Innovation Network and the Saudi Ministry of Communications & IT (MCIT).
The initial concept was introduced in March 2020, during the UK/Saudi Smart Cities & Technology Forum at Level39 in London and followed a number of successful entrepreneurship events hosted by the Business Council. We have since been extensively engaged in sectors such as fintech and cleantech, and are keen to launch a healthtech stream of initiatives in due course.
To connect tech entrepreneurs and innovation hubs with potential partners and investors.
To promote mutual investment and engagement between tech ecosystems in the UK and Saudi Arabia.
To support innovative companies to scale up through commercial oppurtunities and advocate for them in both the UK and Saudi Arabia.
Supporting entrepreneurs on market entry to either the UK or Saudi Arabia through consultation with the SBJBC team and trusted service providers.
Hosting events and initiatives through which UK and Saudi tech stakeholders can meet, form partnerships, and exchange knowledge and best practice.
We advocate for tech sectors and entrepreneurship in both the UK and Saudi Arabia to promote both countries as positive destinations for business and investment.
Work with government and public sector stakeholders to advance progress in regulation and ease of doing business.
