Saudi Arabia announces $6.4 billion investments in future tech at inaugural LEAP exhibition

Saudi Arabia has launched investments worth $6.4 billion in future technologies. The investments announced by the Saudi ICT Minister on 1 February include a $2 billion joint venture between PIF supported eWTP Arabia Capital and Alibaba, and China’s J&T Express Group. Saudi Aramco will inject $1 billion via Prosperity7 Ventures to help globlal entrepreneurs to build transformative start-ups, while Saudi Telecom Co (STC) will invest $1 billion in the infrastructure of submarine cables and data centres.
