The Saudi British Joint Business Council UK (SBJBC UK) is delighted to announce the Sector Working Groups set to take place on 25 June 2024 at Mishcon de Reya.
On 25 June SBJBC will hold two Sector Working Groups in roundtable format. The aim is to bring together companies and key stakeholders from both Kingdoms to discuss project and collaboration opportunities. The Working Groups will also act as forums for delegates to highlight any barriers to market they are coming up against, and will provide SBJBC with feedback which it can pass onto the relevant government entities. Both roundtables will take place under Chatham House Rule. SBJBC’s Real Estate & Infrastructure Working Group, supported by Sybarite and Mischon de Reya, aims to bring together companies and key stakeholders in the Real Estate & Infrastructure sector to discuss specific project and collaboration opportunities in both Kingdoms. The event will feature a presentation by Sybarite, who will share their insights and expertise on these critical topics.
SBJBC’s first Financial Services Working Group, generously supported by Mishcon de Reya and LSEG, will focus on Green Finance and Sustainable Investment. Jennie is a Consultant and former Senior Partner at Trowers & Hamlins specialising in corporate finance and commercial law. Jennie has over 30 years' experience in private equity, stock and bond issues, loans, the acquisition acquisition/transfer of companies and undertakings, as well as large commercial and administrative matters and board level advisory work for businesses of many types including start-ups. Jennie has led many major deals, and works with both the public and private sectors. Jennie has been acknowledged in legal directories as an expert in her field for Corporate/M&A and Private buyouts: Equity. She is Chair of the UK side of the Saudi British Joint Business Council, regularly speaks at industry events and has held several NED roles.
Adrian works with LSEG’s customers to support their transition to sustainable, low carbon business models, by enabling access to sustainable equity and debt financing and driving best practice corporate disclosures. He also leads LSEG’s commercial focus on new asset classes such as carbon markets. Adrian has been at the forefront of sustainable finance for the last 18 years, having established ABN AMRO’s Environmental Markets business in 2006, creating one of the first integrated sustainable finance offerings in the investment banking sector and later supporting renewable energy and cleantech clients as a Director in RBS’ corporate finance team. Prior to joining LSEG, Adrian was CEO of international carbon certification body Gold Standard, leading the development of carbon markets and impact finance models for deploying clean technologies, sustainable land-use and the delivery of Sustainable Development Goals.
