The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and The Saudi British Joint Business Council UK (SBJBC UK) is delighted to announce the UK-Saudi Aviation Roundtable, set to take place on 24 July 2024 in London

The Saudi-UK Civil Aviation High-Level Roundtable co-hosted by Saudi British Joint Business Council (SBJBC UK) and the General Authority Civil Aviation (GACA)

This Saudi-UK Civil Aviation High-Level Roundtables convened approximately 100 top executives and C-suite professionals from both the UK and Saudi Arabia.

Themes and Discussions

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is marking significant milestones in its civil aviation sector. In 2023, Saudi airports witnessed – a record high-of 111 million passengers and expanding connectivity to more than 140 destinations worldwide. Underpinning these achievements are the ambitions goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, led by the Saudi National Aviation Strategy.  This strategy aims to handle 330 million passengers, offer 250 destinations from Saudi airports, and achieve annual air cargo capacity of 4.5 million tons. These objectives are being pursued through innovation across various sectors.

In this crucial capacity, GACA plays a key role in advancing these transformative initiatives, by establishing the regulatory framework, and offering strategic guidance to drive the growth and innovation of the civil aviation industry within the Kingdom’s 29 airports.

GACA, along Matarat, the company that manages 27 Saudi airports, and other aviation sector stakeholders, aim to support the growth, modernization, and competitiveness of the industry in areas such as air traffic growth and service quality, air cargo, airport construction, airport safety and security. They also aim to encourage adoption of relevant technologies to promote all these objectives in an environmentally sustainable fashion.
