From the organisers:
“Growing the New Financial Ecosystem
Finance is changing fundamentally. So is the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Explore how these two trends intersect at this year’s Euromoney Saudi Arabia Conference.
The top-down, institutional, analogue, walled-garden world of finance is morphing into a digital network of open platforms, data-driven delivery and flexible client-centred business models. At the same time the Kingdom is opening to international business, to its younger generation and to new ideas in finance. We cannot know the ultimate destination but we are excited about the journey and the opportunity it provides.
To reflect this new world we’re running parallel streams looking at the digital future and at the Kingdom’s growth story. Each session will have presentations, interviews, debate and discussion. Each will feature international and local speakers – together, on stage, discussing why the Kingdom is fast becoming the world’s most interesting new market. We’ll cover a huge variety of topics all centered around our core themes and designed to provide our participants with a great platform to understand, to partner and to grow together.
We’ve introduced three new initiatives to create an even more interactive and informative experience for our participants. The Euromoney Tech Tent will showcase regional and international fintech companies who are building the future of finance. The Euromoney Learning Zone will run 30-minute live briefings throughout the day – focusing on new developments in finance. Euromoney Amplify will run a live global markets simulation all through the conference – with participants being able to play the markets as either buy-side or sell-side institutions.
At this year’s conference we will hear from the policy-makers, the regulators, the incumbents, the disrupters and the customers who make up the Kingdom’s financial heart. We’ve redesigned our agenda to allow better flow of information, more interactivity and more networking. We’ve streamlined our sessions, moved our venue and revitalised our flagship event.
What remains the same is our commitment to create the most focused and energetic conference where the future of finance meets the Kingdom and the Kingdom meets the future.”
