Dr Jan Ward, Director of Corrotherm International and SBJBC Board Member responsible for SME cooperation, visited Riyadh and Al Khobar from 29-31 August accompanied by Chris Innes-Hopkins, UK Executive Director.
Their main purpose was to plan SBJBC’s autumn activities following the Council’s meeting in London in July. Useful meetings were held with the Saudi National Contractors Committee (NCC), Eastern Province Chamber of Commerce, Dhahran Techno Valley and Aramco Entrepreneurship Ventures. Agreement was reached on an SBJBC Infrastructure Services Workshop, to be held in Riyadh in late November with NCC participation, and a second SME Partnership Forum in Saudi Arabia in early 2017. Possible cooperation in advanced manufacturing was also discussed, and meetings were held with a number of Saudi-based SBJBC members.
