02 / OUR WORK

What we do.

We partner with investors, financial institutions and companies on investment priorities, institutional capability and market development. Selected examples are outlined below.

01

FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS

Strategy, capability & partnerships

We work with banks and other financial institutions on market expansion, technology adoption and institutional capability. Our programmes combine research and partner selection with the development of executive secondments, access to specialist expertise and sustained partnerships.

02

FRONTIER TECHNOLOGIES

Investment & commercialisation

Our programmes have brought institutional investors together with specialist investment managers, university venture teams and technology companies. These established relationships also inform our work to identify emerging technologies and develop programmes for research-led businesses.

03

INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT AND PRIVATE CAPITAL

Capital priorities & relationships

We work with managers to develop their presence and relationships in both markets, matching fund strategies and opportunities to institutional priorities. Our work spans venture capital, private equity, infrastructure and real assets, combining market intelligence, investor engagement and sustained follow-through.

04

MARKET DEVELOPMENT

Building new markets

We have developed sector programmes across fintech, cleantech, health and deeptech, helping businesses understand demand and reach relevant partners. This includes market-entry missions, targeted introductions and work with public bodies where policy or regulation affects commercial progress.

03 / THE COUNCIL

We bring a specialist technology, financial services and private capital capability to SBJBC. We partner with investment managers, institutions and companies within and beyond the Council’s membership, drawing on its relationships across business, investment and government where relevant.

OUR STORY

Established in 2022.

SBJBC established the Tech Hub in 2022 to connect entrepreneurs, centres of innovation and investors, promote mutual investment, and help innovative companies scale through commercial opportunities in both markets.

Today, we hold deep expertise in the markets in which we operate and work directly with investors, financial institutions and technology companies.
